a palm puppy is an individually handmade plush puppy that is small enough to sit in the palm of your hand. approximately 4" to the top of the head.
how did palm-puppy come about?
the creation of palm puppies was a bit of a fluke. i had made a palm-sized pug from a japanese pattern just for fun. i had included a picture of the pug on my jewelry portfolio www.beadtini.com and got quite a few requests for custom dogs. from there the portfolio grew.
where did the name palm puppy come from?
i was referring to the plush dogs as palm-sized puppies and somewhere it was truncated to just palm puppy.
